A Day To Remember, because they have lyrics that you can relate and connect to everyday life, and they do an amazing job of balancing out pop and metal.

A lot of Musical Threads lately, anyway my favourite Bands are Gorillaz and Coldplay.

Daft Punk doesn't count as a band you see.

Three Days Grace, for a couple reasons.

1.) Their Life Starts Now album is beautiful and I can fit it perfectly to how my life has been these past few months.

2.) I really like staring at the lead singer, so yes, I'm an Adam Gontier fangirl...such a beautiful disease to have.

James Taylor. A good number of his songs have real meaning to me (mainly Carolina in my Mind), and I just love the style of music he plays. Such a great folk singer. Even now in his later years, he still sounds just as good live as he did back in 1970.

Anthrax.

Awesome thrash metal with a smile on it's face. Any band with a song about Judge Dredd gets my vote.

That said, I'm really liking Parkway Drive right now.

Nightwish. I just love that chorus metal sound and I'm one of the few fans that like Annette and Tarja equally so I can enjoy all their music.

Rise Against is my favorite band because I like pretty much every album, Appeal to Reason had a couple of songs that were only meh for me, but it wasn't a bad album. One of the main reasons I like them is that they put meaning in their songs and I like the lyrics. I am really looking forward to their new album coming out soon.

Why would you say that? They have two members...
Always saw them more of an artist. Wait a second! *One Search later.

Eh I guess you could call them a band.

It's not a band per se, but it's Voltaire. I absolutely love his songs and they always make me smile even if I have had a really cruddy day. He is also amazing live.

[HEADING=1]System of a Down[/HEADING]

Because no band to my knowledge has had so much variety both musically and lyrically.

And that's just a small example of what they have done. Go look them up, get their albums and brace yourself for some truly awesome music.

Soundgarden - A brilliant band, also look at the changes from Badmotorfinger to Superunknown.
Black Hole Sun, won't you come...

Smashing Pumpkins - Put it this way, a bunch of their B-Sides are actually really damn good.

Nirvana - Sure the lyrics were trash and all their music was based upon the same setup, (power chord power chord power chord, drums and bass,) but it still sounds awesome.

Queens of the Stone Age - (See above, but to a lesser extent)

Pearl Jam - Such brilliant diversity and everything about their music is phenomenal, I have yet to hear a Pearl jam song I didn't like.

R.E.M - Hit after hit after hit after hit after hit...
Accelerate in its entirety is also brilliant.

Tool - When they play something that doesn't have supposedly 'meaningful' 5 minute pauses and whatnot and do a really great song (Vicarious, H, Parabola, The Patient, etc.) they're one of the greatest bands in the world.
(seriously though, how much does it suck when half the album isn't even music but just spooky noises?)

Great minds think alike, eh?
Aside from those two, I also have a thing for The Killers.

Slipknot - loud and brutal, but they can pull off gentle when they want to (see: Snuff)
Dethklok - Over-the-top awesomeness
Radiohead - just, so deep man...
And I'm just starting to get into Dream Theatre :D
