The description of this forum mentions drink recipes, so uh... let's talk about em!
I'm a bit of a beer snob, my favorite type of which have been IPAs lately. In terms of breweries, there are some REALLY small ones here in Washington, only distributed locally, that make fantastic beer, but the more widely-known ones that I love are Rogue and Deschutes (both from Oregon).
As far as cocktails go, I'm not a big fan of 'em, but I do like bourbon and I recently learned a good way to make it even better - it's called an Old Fashioned. You start with a small amount of simple syrup and two jots of bitters, then a double shot of bourbon (preferably Maker's Mark) and as much ice as you can fit, plus a twist. Good stuff.
edit: Oh jebus christ, did I really post this in the user reviews forum? LOL. I especially like how my post specifically references the forum that I thought I was posting in, and I don't even have the excuse of being under the influence of one of the quality beverages I mentioned. Mods, halp plz
