Favorite Fallout 3 Weapon

Oddly mine is the humble Hunting Rifle, that thing has killed more Supermutants, Robots and killer insects than any other item in my inventory. The only thing it currently sucks against are Radscorpions, but I have a handy dandy sledgehammer for them.

When he gave it to me it was in full condition and did about 32 damage per shot. I was ripping apart super mutants.

However, I've started a new game (haven't finished the storyline yet, just felt like a new game for some reason) where I chose to specialize in melee weapons. I'm trying to get the Shishkebab schematic and parts.

How good is the missile launcher? I saw a video of that in action, but haven't come across it in-game yet. It looked fantastic in VATS mode.

It's good for flushing enemies out of cover, but for me it's way too slow.

Fucking Missile Launcher, every Supermutant, Bandit and their mothers has one and they keep blowing me up with them. I ran into a pair of raiders that both had missile launchers! I was VERY happy to blast their heads into tiny little bits.

Where did you find it? I love hypnosis and mind control weapons, but I dont know where to find it.

In awnser to the thread, I have to say the Combat Shotgun, for pure and simple mindless slaying. I also dig the Hunting Rifle.

I think that if you manage to run up close to a person wielding a missile launcher, they will put it away. (I think, not sure)

Also, to the person above me, you get the Mezmetron from Paradise Falls. The slaver guarding the entrance wants you to enslave some people to gain entry.

Railway spikes as ammo = Badass
Train Noise = superhumanly amazing

Energy weapons are pretty fun as well. turning enemies to ash on a critical ahhh.

Surprised no one has mentioned the Power Fist. That is very enjoyable, especially if you catch a Raider up close. Ooh, the gory goodness.

As for a ranged weapon, I'm partial to the Hunting and/or Sniper Rifle.

Thank you for reminding me about the Rail Gun. That gun is just pure awesomeness in a gun. Turning people into ash with energy weapons is cool, but with plasma you turn them into green goo.

gotta give this honor to the lowly hunting rifle as well. It's probably the most reliable weapon in my arsenal, and I use it constantly.

a very close second is my Plasma rifle i received from the Android quest. That thing is just so beastly

The deathclaw gauntlet is better and looks awesome

minigun...yeah i know they eat ammo but I loved them in the original game. Also sneaking up behind some one, pulling out the mini gun going into VATs and seeing the cut scene of you puring hundreds of bullets into the back of some merchants head. It just makes me happy!
