I love the way Cecil develops a character and statistically.
Squall was too brooding for his own good.

Main series:

Fav: Locke Cole, Cecil Harvey, Cloud, and Zidane.

All great and well developed characters with interesting personalities and some really deep and interesting character developments and moments.

Hate: Pretty much the entire cast of 8, and Palom and Parom.

The cast of 8 was just total shit all around. Bland, stupid, annoying, *insert other negative words*. Good fucking lord did I hate those nimrods, such a terrible cast all around.

And I hate Palom and Parom because they were kind of annoying, but mostly because I found them totally useless so that's more of a personal gripe.

Spin off games:

Favs: Zack Fair and Ramza.

Great and interesting characters that really shape into something else by the end of their respective stories. They had great personalities, and were very relate-able.

Least:Tidus

Favorite: Kain Highwind
Least: Vanille

I always had a soft spot for Kain. I like how his character slowly develops into something closer to what Cecil is, he finally just accepts his full nature and learns to live with it (if you played FFIV: The After Years). He also has style imho.

As for Vanille I don't really dislike her that much but I can't stand her girly walk animation or the fact that she withholds information from the rest of the party. I haven't gotten that far into the game but i'm pretty sure she knows more she lets on.

(I don't dislike Hope either, despite how whiny he is only because he's just a kid, having to deal with extraordinary circumstances so i'm a bit sympathetic to his character).

I looooooooove Yuna and she will forever remain my first ever video game crush but... I don't know. I loved Vanille too much. Especially since I hated her (due to that crazy changing accent of hers xP) at first but then just started loving her XD
And Squall just because he's awesome.
And yes, I shall let you know when it comes in >.<

Least Favourite: Don't know. I would choose a protagonist from XIII but there was no single protagonist. Just a bunch of unlikeable idiots (Sazh excluded)

Yeah, I agree. Although I love Yuna and Rikku as much as I love Vanille. Yuna I love because it's just Yuna, no reason is needed. Rikku, I love for her peppiness and the fact she's always happy and Vanille because she just grows on you regardless. XD
And I cannot remember Squall too well. I remember Zell though. >>

Ah, at least you notice he's got a reason to be whiny. But I forgive him for his whininess and elaborate revenge fantasy on Snow because he actually has a reason to be. I mean, I doubt anyone here could honestly say at the age of 14, if they watched their mum fall/be dropped to their death (Hope thought Snow dropped his mum so Snow could escape, I believe, hence revenge fantasy.) they'd be able to shrug that off and bury the emotion deep inside them without snapping at some point.

What? No he didn't. His attitude was uncaring, not whiny, and I hardly expect a mercenary to care. The only time he really whined was when Aerith got killed in front of him, and that's kinda expected.
