After seeing the lego pokemon mechs, and subsequently searching up lego mechs for a good hour I'm in the mood to see some cool mecha. So, just as the title says, what are your favorite mecha?

Some of mine to start things off:

I hate that I had to use a model, but I couldn't find a better picture

Also I am just noticing it has a Macro-Cannon for a crotch.

Probably Unit 002. It had my favorite design from Evangelion, and I liked the idea that the Evangelions needed power cords to work. They were prototypes, and didn't have advances technology yet.

It's really the third arm that does it. I just really like the design of this thing. Shame it didn't get to do more.

Ah yes, the good old fashioned dreadnought. Also, his big brother, the emperor class titan:

You need an orbiting naval vessel to match its firepower.

Beautiful artwork (penis cannon included) there. That is pretty cool!

It reminded me of this film;

Recognise?
Also, lest not forget Startscream:

Honestly, I'm stuck somewhere between Unicron and Megas. The giant planet-eating transformer with Orson Wells' voice versus the crazy-go-nuts car-headed robot piloted by Coop from Jersey. DISCUSS.

None of the above.

Robotech's Tomahawk (BattleTech's Warhammer).

Ninja'd! Though I love the whole Deathscythe family in general.

OT: I love the original Wing Zero, and the Epyon from Gundam Wing.

Metal Gear Rex is my favourite. It's just so damn badass, but still looks like a piece of military kit. Besides, nuclear capabilities, you can't fuck with that.

Deathscythe from Gundam Wing in all its incarnations. I used to have models of Hell and Hell Custom, but they got broken/pieces got lost. I've actually been considering getting new model kits just so I can rebuild them and put them safely on display somewhere.
As far as I'm concerned Duo was the best character in Gundam Wing, and he had the best mech in the series to boot. Epyon was nice, but you don't get much better than a giant scythe wielding Grim Reaper mech.

I was always partial to Gundam Wing. A little pretentious and formulaic perhaps but not stupid.

The steampunk mechas from Scott Westerfield's Leviathan trilogy are my favorite. One part because steampunk stuff is so sexy in its archaic designs, and mostly because of Keith Thompson's mindblowingly complex drawings in the books.
