Favorite obscure/under-used pokemon

I was playing silver today when I thought my "boring run of the mill" team were actually really...random.

Granbull

I sometimes ditch my starter for originality.
So the question is do you like choosing weird or obscure pokemon? Any special cases like a full party of magikarp?

Bellsprout is fun to have in the group for a bit, mostly just because I needed a grass type.

I use Breloom, the evolved form of shroomish, a Fighting grass type?! MADNESS
Seriously though in Saphire its double useful against the dark and water types they use, also its attack is monstrous, also shroomish is adowable :3

I love my Weezing...but everyone says he's lame...then he One-Hit-KO's a lvl.100 party of psychics...who's lame NOW?!/crazyrant.
I do use PKMN that people generally don't use like my Wee-NO! DON'T GO BACK TO THE RANT My party can be random too- Weezing, Poliwrath, Electrode, Tyranitar, Ursaring, Houndoom- a lot of them people use but my best is one that people never see coming...

Though one time I did try and go through and beat the E4 with just Unown and my Misdreavus. Unown WTF?! and my Misdreavus, to be exact. No, I'm not kidding.

I always wanted to get a Breloom, but whenever I look for it I can NEVER find a shroomish.

I'm also using a beedrill on firered which sucked untill I got Twineedle. It only hits twice every time but it does a crapton of damage and it poisons somtimes.

None of them are that obscure. But not many choose Aerodactyl or Lanturn. Which is too bad because they're incredibly good.

I have a *something something* for Sableye. How can I not love a ghost/dark type? A lot of things can't hit it and then it can confuse them!

I LOVE Lairon, even though to get him you have to train a really weak Pokémon for far too long, and then you're only allowed to keep him for 10 levels before he evolves into some lame triceratops thing! Seriously, pressing B shouldn't be necessary; this should be a one-time evolution Pokémon!
