Vids don't work.

And I've always been partial to Hong Kong Phooey and The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle.

Animaniacs. Few shows are just as fun to watch as an adult as they were when you were a kid. Actually, due to all the subtle adult jokes, it might even be better.

No such thing as favorites with me. I could make a list of series I love from the 80s up into 2003 that loop around the world.

The Pinky and the Brain!
The Pinky and the Brain!
One is a genius,
the other's insane!
To prove their mousy worth,
they'll overthrow the earth!
The Pinky, the Pinky and the Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, NARF!!

Showing my age...

Cities of Gold
Thundercats
Transformers (particularly the movie, once we got it on tape, and the feature length debut ep)
Jimbo
Dogtanian
Rude Dawg & The Dweebs
Real Ghostbusters
Visionaries (still got the annual somewhere)
Willy Fogg
Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies marathons
Spiderman (the oldskool one)
Batman TAS
Count Duckula
Dangermouse
Doug
Rugrats
and a pile of things from the earlier days of Nickelodeon when we first got cable
plus a load others I can't even recall apart from random frames flashing in my mind and causing inexplicable smile twinges.

honourable mentions (not cartoons, but still animated):
Bertha
Morph
Thomas The Tank Engine, back when it was still based on the Rev Awdry books and so had some interest rather than being disgustingly patronising and cliche
Postman Pat ... ditto
Fireman Sam (seeing a pattern here?)
Trapdoor!

That should be enough entertainment to last a lifetime (you won't go wrong if you bring your kids up on this ;) and we crammed it all into 90 minutes after school and an hour on saturday morning. Fifty channels? Bah. We had four... six or seven once Nick and CN were added... and still all that.

Its somewhat petered out since, but there's been the odd standout. Particularly Avatar, and most things Aardman have done in between (e.g. Shaun the Sheep). Did have a quiet, secret enjoyment of Animals of Farthing Wood. But sadly Truckers ended up being "after my time".

My favorite when I was a kid was probably Cyborg 009. Haven't seen it in probably ten years though ... And my favorite now is Animaniacs.
