So, I was wondering what is you're favorite classic game? Something to sit down and play and remember about yester-years.

To me you can't beat a play through of Metroid or Zelda for the N64.

We have one of these topics once a month, don't we?

I'm from the Atari VCS generation, that's the Atari 2600 to you punk kids. And while I do like that system, I have even more appreciation for the Mattel Intellivision. It tried to have very different style of gameplay. It ultimately succumbed to making was was popular before the end, but until then, it had some really different games that tried to make the most of the keypad controllers. Not to mention the Intellivoice add-on which was fairly decent for the time and they actually worked to make the voice integral to the game.

EDIT: Forgot to list some games.

Adventure, Beamrider, Demon Attack, Frogger, Haunted House, Infiltrate, Joust, Kaboom!, Keystone Kapers, Laser Blast, Laser Gates, Missile Command, Montezuma's Revenge, Moonsweeper, Ms. Pac-Man, Pitfall, Reactor, River Raid, Stampede, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Starmaster, Turmoil, Yars' Revenge for the Atari

ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Cartridge AKA Cloudy Mountain, Astrosmash, B-17 Bomber (Intellivoice), Beauty and the Beast, Bomb Squad (Intellivoice), BurgerTime, Buzz Bombers, Dracula, Frog Bog, Ice Trek, Shark! Shark!, Space Battle, Space Hawk, Space Spartans (Intellivoice), TRON Deadly Disks, Utopia for the Intellivision

Majora's Mask for the Nintendo 64.
Or Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance for the PC.
Oh yeah, and time to stop whining about "OMGTHISHASBEENDONEBEFORELOLOLOL", it's not gonna stop just because people are whining!

Because there was totally a Metroid for the N64.

I'm going to have to say the N64 also, but for Paper Mario and Majora's Mask.
I wasn't saying that there was a Metroid for 64 I was stating the Zelda for the 64. If I was talking about Metroid for 64 I would have use "and" instead of "or".

Well, if I had a living SNES I'd be all about Final Fantasy VI. But since I don't, I obviously can't have it as a favorite.
*cough, emulator, cough*

Sega Genesis I could see (in which case my answer'd be Ristar or Sonic 3 & Knuckles), but the N64 counts as an "old system?" In that case, Majora's Mask, definitely.

...matter of fact, I think I want to play that right now.

Gargoyles Quest II, Super Mario Bros II and III for the NES. Final Fantasy II, Actraiser, Super Mario World II, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (still the best Zelda game ever made) and Demons Crest for the SNES. And Doom I and II, I really wish I still had that Tandy 386 with 8mb RAM and Windows 3.1. Metroid II and Links Awakening for the Game Boy.
