I did a search on the escapist to see if there are any techno junkies out there, and I could only find some out-dated ones. So, not wanting to be a necroposter, I started a new one. What are some of your favorite techno artists? I don't care about specific genres, just the ones that get your blood pumping. I'll start out by saying some of my favorites.

How vague are we being with techno, judging by the general tastes of the escapist community I'm going to guess VERY vague, so here goes, my favourites are:

Venetian Snares, Angerfist, DJ Zany, Donkey Rollers, Androgyn Network, DJ Japan, The Speed Freak,Deadmau5, Boys Noize, Kissy Sellout, The Horrorist, Mrs Jynx, Shitmat, m1dy, Bong Ra, Sigma 909, DJ Donna Summer, Squarepusher, DJ Plague, DJ Smurf, The Sickest Squad, Frazzbass

Although there's probably a load I've forgotten, they fit into the genres breakcore, nu style gabber, gabber, hardstyle, industrial, electro, ambient, frenchcore, speedcore, terrorcore and mashup

I'm talking EXTREMELY vague. I doesn't matter where it comes from, just the general "techno" term. I know I mostly listen to hardstyle, hardcore, trance and hardtrance, some newcore. Although some other people might listen to speedcore, gabber, newcore, eurodance, Drum and Bass, etc. Just whatever you're in to, bring it up.

do Justice or Boys Noize count? i dont think so, but i'll list them anyway.
i mainly listen to drum and bass - Aphrodite, Pendulum, High Contrast, Cyantific, DJ Fresh etc.
if you know of any good techno artists sort of close to any of the bands mentioned, or that sort of bridge the gap between techno and DnB let me know and i'll check them out.
