Since I've been talking about it so much lately, I might as well just do a whole thread on it. That's right, Virtual Pinball. Just like the real thing, except without the actual hassle of finding somewhere to put a massive pinball table in your house.

Have to say, Zen Studios seem to be the Kings of modern virtual pinball with the sheer number of tables they've put out for their Pinball FX and Zen Pinball games. I'm a bit of a table collector when it comes to their stuff, but I'll try to hold back and only name a few of my favorites of theirs...

Star Wars: Starfighter Assault, from their Star Wars: Balance of The Force set, is purely focused on my single favorite part of Star Wars: the fighter combat. Fly for either the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance, amass your fleets and take down the enemy. Face down all the enemy can muster at the Battle of Endor to decide the fate of the Galaxy! Will the Empire stand forever, crushing the Rebellion under their heels? Or will the Rebels rise up and restore the Republic?

They've got an extensive lineup of tables based on Marvel Comics, but my favorite of them is Captain America, by far. I'm a sucker for good WWII stuff, and this one makes you feel like you're actually there, fighting against Hitler's Nazis with your pinball skills. While the Howling Commandos are featured, Nick Fury is sadly not among them; but each Commando offers something unique to Cap that helps him get the job done. Take on the Red Skull and Baron Zemo, destroy their superweapons like Zemo's "Adhesive X" and bring down the Third Reich!

Some of their own original work is pretty awesome too, like Paranormal(all kinds of weird conspiracy crap, and the Loch Ness Monster), V12(muscle cars and hot rods trying to prove who's got the biggest engine around) and Secrets of The Deep(deep sea exploration, including a visit to Atlantis if you're good enough); but of them, my favorite has to be Tesla, based around the experiments of the real life mad scientist himself, Nikola Tesla. It's got an amazing SteamPunk kind of style all over the table, with brass and chrome and small steam jets everywhere. There's even a "Steam Cannon" that fires the ball up into an elevated chute for bonus points and potentially Extra Balls if you do it enough times.

But these are just a few of their tables that I like, and I'd like to know if anyone else here likes pinball at all. If you do, tell me what some of your favorite tables are!

(Note to moderators: If you'd rather this be about all pinball in general, physical and virtual, just go ahead and change the thread name accordingly. If that means this thread needs a move to Off-Topic, then feel free to shift it over. Thanks in advance.)

I haven't dedicated time lots of time to play virtual pinball since 3D Pinball Space Cadet (included free in Windows before 7), although Final Fantasy XV had its pinball mini-game (Justice Monsters Five), but it was a little too simplistic for my taste (though I played it for way longer than I should had).
