Boy it's been a long time since I made a thread.

I've been on a bit of a kick of his music recently, which means a thread that I'm sure anyone the world over can contribute to: Their favorite song by parody artist and music comedian Weird Al Yankovic.

Since I grew up hearing it, I'll always have a place in my heart for the hit "Amish Paradise".

So escapists, what song do you like the most?

White and Nerdy is my favorite. Not only is it an impressive display of rapping, but the song itself is hilarious. That is my theme song through and through. I love it.

The Saga Begins is second, because it's set to one of my favorite songs and never before since has a movie been summed up in a song so well.

This is how I feel too, especially since the lyrics are way better than the original nonsense lyrics.

Pancreas. Simply because I really enjoy Brian Wilson's Smile, and Weird Al's song is a comedic amalgamation of it.

Would it be a complete cop-out to simply say: "All of them"?

If I had to narrow it down, then I am torn between Everything You Know is Wrong
Amish Paradise (already mentioned above), and perhaps that underappreciated gem C.N.R.

However, way back when I was a youngin' this was the song that first really introduced me to the genius that is Weird Al:

No, I wouldn't say that. Because I personally cannot decide at all. I just like it too much.

Don't Download This Song or his version of Peter And The Wolf, and Nature Trails To Hell (In 3D) somewhat.

There's a funny intro to go with this as well that would make it about 33 minutes long. Try and find the whole thing.

Yeah, gonna have to go with all of them. Standouts are White and Nerdy, Amish Paradise, Albuquerque, The Saga begins, Tacky, and Word Crimes.

And, because no one has said it yet, It's All About the Pentiums. Which is both hilariously out of date now and yet still totally works. Also, it has some great rapping. Plus Drew Carey in the music video, which I think is funny.

Personally, my favourite Weird Al Song is a somewhat non-comedic one; Skipper Dan

[spoiler:Skipper Dan]Skipper Dan
A strangely heartfelt song about a guy who had dreams of stardom but is currently stuck acting in a campy riverboat show. The song goes into how dreams can be broken even if you work hard for it, a depressing subject matter coming from the guy. Sweetly sung, and fun guitar riff, its a "serious" Weird Al song that shows that he can do more than comedic parodies.

But if it comes to a comedic song (That hasn't been posted yet), my fav probably would go to Albuquerque

[spoiler:Albequerqu-fuckit]
A strange rambly mess that's a journey from beginning to end. Best part goes to the song about being ravaged by weasel

You always go with your first love...

But I always loved this "obscure" one. And I figured it would be appropriate for this community.

a lot of the great ones have been mentioned (and I think Amish paradise might be my favourite, but don't quote me on that), however one of his best songs has somehow been ignored...
Weird Al's songs are always great and funny, but this is satire as well, which makes it slightly different from his usual fair, which is usually a silly song with reference to the original material. This is cutting and hilarious (and it's no surprise to me that Kurt absolutely loved it)

I pretty much grew up on Weird Al, but his most lasting album to me really is Bad Hair Day. And while I love "Amish Paradise," I have to go with "Everything You Know Is Wrong," because the former song never got stuck in my head on a loop for a month.

...and I've never used it in a video.

So much good to pick from, it's hard to select that one special song out.
