Film or show, 2D or 3D, what is your favourite animated scene ever?

Me, I recently started watching Batman: The Animated Series. It's a great show and there are plenty of memorable moments, but one really stood out. Namely, this scene from the episode Mad Love:

I know this is Batman we're talking about but... DAMN. That is dark!

This chase scene from Tin Tin is ridiculous, the camera angles and transitions are so well done and the whole thing flows great.

The "Pinkie Pie goes crazy" scene from MLP:FiM. Goddamn, what a scene!

"That" scene from Legend of Korra. You know the one. Still don't get how they got away with that.

The Love Story from UP. Bloody hell, no words and it told a better love story than pretty much any love story in popular media now. It also made me cry, and that's a hard thing to do. So yeah, in a movie I would say this is my favourite.

This moment had me on the edge of my seat, and instantly made the Flash my favorite superhero ever.

Fucking hell, you damn ninja. That's exactly what I came here to post. And incidentally, made Flash my favorite superhero, as well.

Mine for DBZ (the only show I could think of a scene for) would have to be a mere few episodes later.

It's awesome, even if it is the very moment when the series begins to escalate out of control. The full scene is better, but I didn't really want to put a 12 minute scene in.

That's one of my favourite scenes in DBZ too :D

I don't get why people were so shocked about Legend of Korra's scene. It isn't the first time that Cartoon Network has let shows with broader audience demographics get away with these scenes.

The opening of Gurren Lagann.
You know a show's gonna be badass when it starts with 15 seconds straight of explosions.

I remember the eps when Batgirl is murdered by the scarecrow I was left jaw dropped going "did that just happen?"

The eps of Justice league unlimited called epilogue was really intense as well.

OHH OHH second last eps of trigun when Vash is forced to kill mannnnn was that sad.

Speaking of which I actually cried during One Piece when Marry dies. One piece is the only show that could make me cry over a fictional piece of wood.

This I find to be one of the few situations in which I actually prefer DBZ's filler-ness over Kai's brevity.

It lets that scene just slowly soak in, which made it goddamn badass on the first viewing.

Man, that first time was awesome. Wasn't exactly sure what I was looking at, but I knew it was awesome and that Frieza was about to get his ass beat.

I dunno, there's something about Goku calling Frieza a bastard and telling him he's going to suffer that's just so fucking badass :p

When Shepard suddenly breaks Kai Leng's sword and stabs him in the chest with his omniblade. That was the most bad ass scene in the whole series.

Pfft, don't even watch the episode, just listen to the beginning song. It's so baller. It's definitely my favorite anime opening, right next to Persona 4: The Animation's second opening.

So, yeah, favorite animated series - Persona 4: The Animation.

So many epic moments and throw backs to the game make it perfect for me.

My particular favorite, as i had no idea what was coming next :p

Not saying that other moments of the series were worse or not as epic.

First off MASSIVE Heroman Spoilers, If you have not seen Heroman I recommend you go watch it. Stan Lee's greatest work by FAR.

It just hits me. The music, the characters, the fact that the main character who was never able to actually protect anyone on his own despite trying time and time again decides to put it all on the line. The entire scene is just so beautifully put together that I shed manly tears every single time.

Capcha: Red white and blue

OK I do think the Capcha is sentient now guys.
