So escapists I was wondering how many of you are interested in comedy. Who is your favourite? What kind of comedy do you like: Parodic, Commentary like riffs, improv, maybe just straight up jokes? Personally I like Louis c.k., His cynical and deadpan snarky-ness is hilarious. And in case you were wondering This isn't just stand up or famous commercial Comics if there's a youtube channel you like or maybe a group feel free to post.

Nope, sorry, impossible. I've seen far too many comics and laughed far too hard at them to actually choose a favorite.

Ive also seen too many comics and rewatched them to such a degree.
But I appreciate them all from Patton Oswalt to Lewis Black and Katt Williams to Bo Burnham.
What I like now wont be what I like tomorrow but maybe will again.

If I had to choose, I would have to say Dara O'Briain. I really enjoy how he interacts with the audience and his video games bit is fucking hilarious.

Bah, someone else has already added Dara O'Briain to the thread, now I'll have to come up with something else.

Can I count David Mitchell, he's absolutely hilarious on all those comedian panel show things. Painfully hilarious.

I'd have to go with either Gabriel Iglesias or The Blue Collar, guys are amazing in their own right at being rednecks.

Man Iglasias is funny as hell, he also gives me hope in a way. He's a testament that you don't need money or some sort of natural-born talent to go places. The man just through himself out there and tried his hardest and didn't give up and now he's got his own show. It's also nice to see the internet and things like youtube are actually helping people go somewhere instead of being farcebook:video format.

Dara O'Briain is hilarious, and the fact that he's such a huge geek in the icing on the cake.

Personally, I'd go with Dylan Moran (I think I just find the Irish accent soothing). He's very traditional, but his style is so laid back and rambling. Love his talk about alcohol:

Jason Manford, love him! Frankie Boyle is a legend too, shame he left Mock the Week.
