The majority of games we play have that level. That level that you love and look forward to with every playthrough.
I got my copy of Darksiders 2 in the post today and started that bad boy up (no spoilers, I promise).
The first level is set in what appears to be mountainous tundra.
Then I realised something.
I fucking love ice levels.
Part of the reason tends to be the soundtrack for these levels.
Here a re a few of my favourites, including the Darksiders 2 soundtrack. If there's one area that game has improved on, it's the music. Mostly down to Jesper Kyd, who's worked on the Assassin's Creed series.
I also love how refreshing these levels feel, thematically, ice levels always feel so clean and crisp, which contrasts the usual greens, browns and greys we usually see in games
So guys, what are your favourite level types, if any?
