OOH, now that is a tough one! I guess it would have to be a tossup between Houndoom and Mewtwo.

i knew the generations would come up soon, i know most people think the first was the best, but pokemon ruby was the first one i played, before that i hadn't really gotten into video games so i do have to admit my favorite pokemon generation to play was the third

My favourite is either Gardevoir (the best psychic type Pokemon I've ever used), Tyranitar or Garchomp (I love OP types). Also no don't make me pick one!

Jynx is my favorite. I love the ice/psychic combination type and it always murders everything. Glaceon might top it soon though. I've just used Jynx a whole lot more because she's existed since the beginning.

Sandshrew or sandslash. I don't know why, just look at the widdle guy:

Aww, I want to pick you up and cuddle you, then make you battle horrific terrors in dangerous fights for my own amusements, then cuddle you some more...

Oh that image reminds me of a Pokemon/Pony war fought on the Escapist. Good times...

Zapdos here. Always loved it since I was a kid and I want a tattoo of it on my left shoulder. If only I could afford it...

This may be one of the hardest choices of my life, but I'm going to say Espeon. At least for the moment. It'll probably change again soon.

Skuntank because I just love its name and sprite! I had a team that composed of 5 of them just to confuse people.

Would YOU ever want to fight a pokemon called Skuntank?

Gengar or Flygon.

Gengar: Can learn most Psychic moves, is invulnerable to Normal attacks, Hypnosis + Dream Eater = OH GOD YES, can learn the 'punch' moves (Thunder, Fire, Ice) just in case

Flygon: Invulnerable to Electric and Ground attacks, can learn just around any 'power' move, has no real weakness besides Dragon or Water, can still Fly you everywhere

My favourite was always Gyrados. In 1998 before most of us even knew all 151 pokemon, it came as a pretty big surprise when Magikarp, the weakest pokemon of all time turned out to be some badass dragon serpent.
I agree with this, besides it had the benefits of both water and flying pokemon and thus any ground types would get devastated. Not sure if both count when it gets shocked though.

Rattata, because its this little thing that can just bite your arm off. And it can learn these crazy moves like Bubblebeam, Thenderbolt. What a little champ.
