So I just read this article and I'm kind upset:

FCC to Plans Additional Ratings to Entertainmentt [http://ablegamers.com/general-game-news/653-fcc-to-plans-additional-ratings-to-entertainment.html]

I really don't like this. I think the FCC should mine their own business... we already have the ESRB.

And saying it's for the parents? Come on. Games have a rating on them ALREADY on the FRONT AND BACK of the box. A good parent (hell, even a mediocre parent) can look at an 'M' rated game and conclude it isn't right for their 9 year old. If you need more help than "Mature Rated Game for sexual themes, drug use, violence and language" you probably need help and ratings by FCC wouldn't really help anyway....

What are other people's views on this? Do you think it will be bad for the industry? Do you think it's something that is needed? Are you already in an area where your government has already enacted something like this? Are you a parent who would like to see this happen?

Please, tell me what you think.

I wouldn't care if my game cover said "your a horrible person for playing this" im still going to buy it, play it, probably dislike it, and move on.

ratings mean nothing to someone over 16.

The thing is they may be able to restrict what is put in games... then it effects everyone.

Trust me, it will never happen.

This will just further piracy. Luckily, my parents will buy me any game I want. Yay for having good grades.
