So im doing my first custom computer build and ive compiled a list of components im thinking about and it would be great to get som feedback on this. Im starting completely from scratch and i need to keep it under $1100. The soundcard is taken from an old computer lying round the house, im not sure how recent it has to be as long as it works with the soundsystem im planning on.

So heres what i got:

Graphicscard: ASUS nVidia GTX560Ti 1024MB PCI-E 2xDVI HDMI HDCP PhysX CUDA DDR5 DirectCU II Fan
CPU: Intel Core i5-3450 3.1GHz Socket 1155 Box
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z77 Intel Z77 4xDDR3 Intel 1155 ATX
RAMcard: Corsair 8GB (KIT) DDR3 SO-DIMM, 1333MHz (4GBx2)
Chassis: Cooler Master Elite 430 Tower No PSU Black ATX
CPUcooler: Arctic Cooling Alpine 11 PRO Rev2
Powersupply: CORSAIR CX 600W V2 ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V PSU
Soundcard: Audigy SB1394
DVDRW drive: Samsung SATA 22x DVDRW Black
Soundsystem: Logitech® X-140 2.0 5W RMS 970264-0914
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Any and all feedback is appreciated, and please be very critical. I take little offense and i find that the strongest criticism is usually the best. Cheers!

I think the CPU cooler is unnecessary, It performs roughly the same as the Intel stock fan http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Arctic-Cooling-Alpine-11-Pro-CPU-Cooler-Review/802/1.

You may want to check that the soundcard is compatible, my brief research shows it may use the AGP interface, which modern motherboards no longer use. It's not critical, but if it matters to you it's obviously worth doing.

You could probably go with a cheaper motherboard, but since you are within budget it's not a big deal. The Sabertooth does look quite nice though I admit.

It looks like quite a well put together build, I suggest you go to Tom's Hardware and ask the forum there for advice, it will probably be more useful than that received here.

EDIT: Just realised you do not list a hard drive. What do you plan to use?

Oh yeah, forgot that. Im planning on using a 1TB Seagate Barracuda SATA, its cost's included in the total price. Thanks for the feedback, i think ill stick with the cpu cooler though since it only costs 10 bucks anyway. Ill go join Tom's Hardware and check out the forums there. Thanks again, relieved to hear its not that bad a build.
