Having money issues. Like everyone right =P Here we go!
So I have almost paid off my final loan that I used to buy my car 4 years ago. (Got into a sticky situation and had to extend it) I was making good money and had a couple of grand saved up. I decided what the hell and extended it again so I could finally do the custom work to it I had been wanting to do for three years. I would be financially sound doing this and all the while I was building credit. Currently sitting around 650-700 at this time.
Then disaster strikes. I talk to the guys about the work to my car and they said it would = everything I saved up and what I extended the loan to be. I told them I would be in next week with a final decision. Three days later someone ahead of me while we were both going 55Mph slams on his breaks in the left lane because of a school bust 2 car lengths ahead of us that I couldn't see. His car was brand new (Still had the temp tag on it) and my car is 18 years old and my brakes were kind of worn. Needless to say I slam into the back of him. At this point my car could barley run. A lot of front body damage and some engine bay damage. It was a 1994 Honda Del Sol.
Decided not to get the custom parts =P. Used the money to get a new car. 2001 MR2 Spyder. (I like 2 door convertibles =P). Pretty good price IMO. $7k and an extra $1k after financing for a total of $8k. So now I am making a car payment. Now I am also carrying full coverage. So my insurance payment is $300 a month, Cary Payment is $300 a month, loan payment is $250 a month, rent is $750 a month... Plus cell phone, internet etc. etc.
Well all was well. I am drawing unemployment at this time and going to ITT tech full time. I am still in the green on finances though. GI bill and unemployment are covering my expenses. Though I am getting very disappointed with ITT Tech and the way they teach. Doesn't feel right. I do some research and decided to go to OSU. Now every day I stay at ITT is one day less of my GI bill coverage for an actual "good" education. So I talk to financial at ITT and ask them about dropping out and how much I would need to pay back on the GI bill. They say around $200-$500. I said ok and started the process. Two weeks later I get a letter saying I owe $4000 to the GI Bill. I take the letter to ITT and say WTF!!?!? They told me to wait for the refund check from them. I do. The check was $1500 which leaves me to pay $2500 out of pocket. $2000 more then I was told I would have to pay.
Now I am starting to panic. My Unemployment is about to run up and I might have a job at Walgreens. Though if I don't start at $9+ I won't be able to pay all my bills. I won't get anymore GI Bill stipends until I have payed back the $4000 I owe them.
Then last night I was driving around because now I have a problem sleeping because I am about to have a panic attack because I HATE owing money and I HATE even more making almost equal to what I owe each month. It really grinds my gears. Anyways, I am out driving around and when I pressed on the gas switching to 2nd it felt really slow to rev up. I didn't pay much mind to it at first and decided to jump on the highway. My Ipod stopped before I got on the off ramp and I had my windows rolled down. I started hearing this rattling noise from my engine area when I slowed down. Then it stopped when I stopped. When I took off again I heard it again. I pulled over and tested it and it is from the engine and it happens around 3000 RPMs. I take it to Meineke in the morning and they say I have THREE oil leaks and a possible loose bearing on one of my rods. They can't work on it till Monday.
