First of all, the source article:

Didn't see anything about it here on Escapist, so I'm using the Kotaku link.
Now, to sum it up:
FF13 comes out on the 360 and PS3 everywhere EXCEPT in Japan.
In Japan, FF13 is a PS3 exclusive.
Square Enix decides to put out a 360 version of the game in Japan.
People decide this is a bad thing and start insulting and verbally assaulting the boss of Square Enix.
Can someone please explain this to me? How is this a bad thing? How exactly does this hurt gamers? Why are people getting upset about it?
One idea is that it's the Japanese 360 users who've bought a PS3 just to play FF13 and now feel cheated. However, that makes no sense because why would you buy a console just to play one game? And if you ARE such a big fan of the FF series, why the hell did you buy a 360 over a PS3 in the first place?
The other would be that it's the PS3 fanboys upset about losing an exclusive, but why would that cause rage? They aren't losing anything? And the game hasn't been exclusive elsewhere in the world so any Japanese 360 users could have just imported it.
This makes as much sense as me raging if MS decided to port Fable 2 to the PC after all...
Any insight?
