Ok, so I was playing Rage this evening (ok so far but not the point) and I thought back to a comment I saw earlier: we need more high quality RPGs. I then thought, why the hell haven't we had a new Wild Arms?

It was brilliant: interesting battles, an amazing and interesting world, good characters and some puzzles to boot. It would be a great new RPG for today and would be a little bit different as well.

Er and that's all I have to really say...or another Breath of Fire maybe...

Captcha: Dollar Signs, why yes, it is profitable!

So you know how much work it would take to make a new proper wild arms game? Wild Arms has always been the prime example of a linear rpg with tons of sidequests , extras , secret bosses , secret dufeons and extra content . It's an accident waiting to happen in this day and age . Everything would be sold as DLC .

Let sleepig dogs lie . Let's not risk ruining what is most likely one of the greatest rpg series .

If they can make it half as good as 3, I'd approve. Something like that with WA5's combat and bigger would be amazing.

It's strange, so many people dislike number 3, I loved Wild Arms 3, maybe because it was my first, but I thought it was a solid game with such a unique setting and I loved how they named their dungeons

"Doomed to Obscurity"

One and Two were also pretty awesome, Five was good and Four is... four.

The only game I disliked is XF, but that's more because it's a turn based strategy game instead of an RPG.

Oh, I'd be all over that. :D if they could make a proper Wild Arms 6 (or, hell, even another remake a la Wild Arms alter code F).

Agree. 3 was my favourite, and while 4 and 5 felt more generically anime they were still good in their own way. Bring back the Migrant System, horseback fights, have at least one train robbery, and have a memorable cast of 3-5, each with their own intro chapter. Additionally it strikes me as odd that none of them ever had a showdown minigame (you know the one, first to hit the button when the bell rings shoots and wins).

Captcha: Wild and woolly. Exactly how Filgaia should be.

Hmm I can see where you are coming from but I don't think it would turn out like that (or at least, Id hope not). I reckon they would bring out DLC but I don't think they would strip it down - anything they sold would just be an extra I imagine.

Yeh, I loved 3 as well and would love either a brand new one or a remake but I do think we need one, especially due to the lack of high quality JRPG
