Okay, let's make one thing clear: Of course I'm not assuming that everyone on this site is a straight guy or a lesbian[footnote]or a gay dude in denial who needs to understand that there's nothing wrong with being gay; love between two men is a beautiful thing[/footnote] but I needed a short subject line. And I know that you might not want to hurt the feelings of your significant other by breaking up, so regard the question this way: If you could break up with your gal-pal/boy-toy without hurting her/his feelings, is there a fictional person that would make it worth it if, by breaking up with your old flame, you could start going out with this guy/girl?

Miranda from Mass Effect 2. She is modelled after Yvonne Strahovski, one of the most perfect women in the world. Of course actually winning her over would be hard, but if could...so worth it.

None.
Fictional people aren't very...non-fictional, ya see?

In all seriousness there are just no fictional characters I even like that much, let alone wanna bang.

No one... Especially not a female from a game, because the vast majority are poorly designed "tough" girls who are thoroughly unlikeable. Unless you play (lets face it) more Japanese-ish games where the majority of female characters are poorly designed rape victims.

You know of a good female character who doesn't involve these 2 generalizations? Well I don't want to know. I don't fancy the notion of sticking my dick in my blu-ray drive, so I can't see the relationship ever progressing to a higher level.

Ashley from Mass Effect.

Oh Ashe...

Helps that I'm not attached at the moment.

Tali from Mass Effect
Unoriginal, I know, but I do like her and consider her a good character.

Zoey From Left 4 Dead
Though theres not much difference personality wise between her and the girls I usually date. Probably why I like her.

Samus from Other M, but that's probably because I never played it so she doesn't annoy the shit out of me....

For some reason, this lady right here would appeal to me very much indeed!

Your question assumes automatic acceptance by the fictional individual, which I consider interesting.

I did break up with a girl for someone fictional once (no names, don't want to fictionally embarrass her). Wasn't much of a relationship, I must admit, being fictional and all, but it was certainly preferable to the one I had before that. I'm back on the real girls again now though, but then sometimes that seems fictional too, especially when I see photo shoots of my current girlfriend that she's been in which have been heavily shopped. Male friends who see the photos say "I'd hit that, if I could" and I reply "so would I".

None of the fictional girls out there today really cut it for me, but then a lot of real girls that I might never get a chance to meet might as well be fictional - and some might even be so.

Look at my avatar, then tell me my answer.

Of course, I don't currently have a girlfriend, so really the only thing stopping me is that my avatar is (unfortunately) fictional.
