I'm sure someone else has noticed the amount of film references in this game.

some of the obvious ones are the mission names which are actual quotes from films (eg. 'charlie don't surf' or 'no fighting in the war room'.

A lot of the in-game dialogue are also quotes. I spotted loads from Aliens (as its probably the film i've seen the most times ever) like 'I like to keep this handy for close encounters'.
There's also one from the matrix and one from airplane but that's pretty much all i can remember without running through the game again...

Anyone else come across any?

Gaz saying "I like to keep this handy for close encounters" was the only one I managed to pick up on.
Aside from that, no. Good find though!

And welcome to the Escapist, the safe haven for intriguing topics and intelligent discussion.
I am Hazy, and I would just like to say: Welcome. It's safer here. I also double as Dr. Breen on weekends.

The last mission references that movie. It's called "End Game"... real creative, IW xD
The guy... on the left... he looks like Bill Clinton....
If they made a game where you play as Bill Clinton and kill people, I would totally be game for that.

Cheers Hazy!

a couple more i can remember from aliens: 'stay frosty' (i think griggs says it) and 'WE ARE LEEAVING' at the stage where you find the nukes on the boat. captain whats-his-name says it to you.

the airplane quote is at the bonus stage at the end. 'Surely you can't be serious?' - 'I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.'

Spoilered, despite that anyone reading this should expect spoilers...

In the aftermath of the nuclear attack as Paul Jackson is dying, to the right while facing the mushroom cloud is a children's playground. The layout and type of equipment appears to be a reference to this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGrH901xMFI].
