There are films that are terrible and there are films that are good but there are some films that take a complete U-turn and are so terrible that it actually makes them good. Im watching hot shots part deux at the minute. This is a terrible film i mean really terrible cmon charlie sheen is the lead actor and its a sequel to another terrible film. But you know what i love them i dont know if its just the sheer randomness, the deliberately terrible acting or the constant references to pop culture but they are fantastic. Its not even as if i like them ironically i just like them

Can you think of any terrible films that are actually good?

Anything by Ed Wood, because his films are so bad they're amazing. His work is probably the mst famous in the world of filmmaking flukes.

Wild Things. Seriously, that movie was just bad, and if it weren't for Bill Murray, it'd just have remained "so bad it's horrible".

Could have been a decent movie if the entire thing wasn't so convoluted and awkwardly acted. The plot was alright, but they seemed to have gone out of their way to make it as exasperating as possible, I suppose >.>

My vote is for The room this scene in particular was a hit with me and my friends:

Terrible acting, terrible story, but I will be damned that it isn't one of the funniest things I had watched in quite a while. Entertaining in its own little way.

To back you up on this, here's one of the worst scripted, acted and put together scenes in cinematic history!

I remember that was one of the scenes where we had to pause the film because we couldn't stop laughing.

Birdemic. I actually sat down and watched this with friends. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo terrible.
Yeah, that one is legitimately horrible, and Jon hit it on the nose with that one. I've actually thought of making something THAT bad just to make it and say that it is a thing. My friends and I already have a few stupid ideas that wouldn't make any sense as a film, so it's perfect.

I found The Russian Terminator/Ninja pretty entertaining throughout, partially because of the peculiar way the actors speak English and the general lack of sense.

Con Air. Seriously, you think Arnold Schwarzenegger is the king of over-the-top, cliche filled movies? He has nothing on this. The set up is as free of holes as a sieve, the main character is given next-to-no characterization (and is played by Cage in full on ham mode), the theme song for the movie is "How Do I Live" by Trisha Yearwood, the villain is defeated in a ridiculously over the top manner...and it is so glorious to behold.

How exactly is Hot Shots 2 a bad movie?
It's a parody, and in my opinion, one of the better ones (definitely better than any parody made after 1995).

Pardon me, but Hot Shots and its sequel are deliberate spoof and parody movies. They are FUNNY movies. Now, I can understand you hating on Charlie Sheen. I couldn't care less about that, but when you start messing with movies done in the style of the Zucker brothers (whom the director worked alongside previously) THAT'S WHERE I DRAW THE LINE! You are out of line, fella! Out, out, and waaay out!

OT The Evil Dead movies, though...

You shut your mouth. The Evil Dead movies are goddamn amazing. They aren't in the "so bad it's good" category because there isn't a single bad thing about them!

OT: "Escape from New York" and "Escape from LA." Also since we're on a Nicholas Cage kick in this thread, "Drive Angry."

Hey, I love 'em, but this is how they're viewed and why they achieved their popular status.

Yeah this - it or the first part, what's up with them? What's next Airplane! being an abomination or something?

Anyway, as a horror title, and a sequel to a slasher franchise, Jason X[footnote]That's X as in a Roman 10 - it's the tenth instalment of the Friday the 13th series with Jason Vorhees[/footnote] is pretty...lacking. But as a comedy movie, oh my, it's so good. Ok, here is the concept - it's Jason...in space! That's it, I'm pretty sure somebody pitched it like that and the movie studio immediately went "Great, love it!"

Yes. Although I could almost swear that Escape from LA was a parody of Escape from NY. Escape from LA was only really funny if you watched the NY one first.
