Final Fantasy 15 - Judgement Disc Demo

A few days ago Square Enix released a new Japanese demo for Final Fantasy 15, named "Judgement Disc", which is basically the begin area for the game and the first few quests.

Seeing as there was a "got no hype for FF15" thread a little while ago, has anyone tried the demo and if so, what were your thoughts on it?

Personally I tried and quite enjoyed the demo, a few things felt a little bit off, but all in all, it managed to respark my interest in the game. Although the begin area is basically a big desert, I had fun running and driving around, looking for things, picking up items or foolishly challenging enemies 20 levels above me.

I'll have to try it. Their previous demo was cute, but I heard that most of it wasn't representative.

I saw a video of the first 50 minutes of gameplay and it looked like a lot of fun with a lot of side quests to undertake. I'm pretty excited about it... Not that it matters. I was always going to buy it anyway.

I just wanna see Spoony come back for long enough to rip this game a new one.

It looks really, really anime-y to me. All of the things I hate about anime, neatly wrapped up in one convenient package. I don't have high hopes after the train wreck that was XIII, but maybe it will surprise me.

It looks like they were trying to recapture the FF7 style, only with modern graphics.

I just don't like the character designs. I don't mind having the occasional gackt prettyboy character, but an entire team of them sort of puts me off. But hey, I can count my blessings: so far no peep of 5-10 year old 'prodigy' war veteran soldiers jrpgs seem so fond of.

I sort of like the plot directions they're going for though so far.

Don't have a console though and not gonna buy one for this even though I do want to play it. Hoping for a PC release.
