I Own Both An Xbox360 and a Ps3 and i Can't decide what I should get FFXIII For.

What are the diffrences?

If the're mostly equal then I'll get the 360 verison so i Don't have to fight with my brother over using ps3 though.

Anyway Thanks!

There is no difference between PS3 and 360 version, except PS3 you won't have to switch discs. They dumbed down the PS3 version so it would match 360 version.

Good to hear, I had thought they cut texture res to save room.

I'd say the PS3 version personally due to the fact it's one disc and not SIX (360), but if like me you don't mind a bit of disc swapping, probably the 360 version so you're not fighting over the PS3 :p

EDIT: And honestly, if you think you're really gonna notice the graphical differences between the game on either system, you're kidding yourself.

I have both and am getting it on PS3, for a couple of reasons. No disc swapping and it just feels right playing a FF game with a Playstation controller (silly I know, but it would feel weird playing, say, ME on PS3)

I have heard of no differences between the two except the discs. PS3 gets 1, 360 gets 3.
There may be a very slight graphics difference but it would only be slight.

I myself am getting it for 360 but that's because I don't have a PS3.

Um, apart from the lower resolution textures and the fact that the 360 version uses essentially PS2 resolution scaled up to 720p, yeah sure. Oh, and the fact the the 360 is missing a fair amount of extra level detail and vegetation. Maybe if you have severe vision deficiencies then sure, you won't notice a thing.

If you have eyes, however, it'll be painfully obvious.

I will be getting the 360 version as I don't have a PS3!

My advice to you would be to get it on 360 if you don't mind swapping the discs. The game will be time consuming and you will more than likely want to play on it a fair bit. Also graphical differences or not it is the gameplay/story that is going to make me like it or dislike it so I see this as irrelevent as the 360 version (if it even is graphically inferior) will still be a fine looking game, we are mostly past the time where it is impossible to make things out due to poor graphics etc.

Funny enough this time the PS3 version looks better, it has better antialiasing (no jagged edges around models)

I can't comment on the rest though like FPS/texture quality. Then again that doesn't matter to a lot of people.

PS3 of course. It was mean to be played on the PS3 and you don't have to worry about disc swapping.
I can't see anything the 360 version has over the PS3. Unless you're an achievement whore of course....

Edit: Also, I've had it pre-ordered on the PS3 for nearly 3 years I think, I damn well refuse to cancel my pre-order out of sheer principle. I prefer my PS3 anyways, I'm just not sure if I want to pay full price for it before I've heard some feedback first.

Don't know if there's actually any graphical difference but the console the game was originally being developed for is usually the best option. Why risk a port? Square wouldn't be the first one to lie about their game being equal on every platform.

This comment made me smile a little.
Playing on a playstation controller is as much part of the FF series as the disk swapping of FF7,8 and 9.

True! Although I don't actually mind disc swapping tbh, but if I don't have to, why would I? :)

As far as I can tell, the only difference is that the PS3 version comes on one disc.

It simply shows PS3's superiority. MUAHAHAHAAA! Honestly though, you should wait till they come out before we start comparing, since nobodies had a chance to compare the graphics and whatnot yet.
