I started playing Dead Island, since the trailer was so damn amazing, knowing well that the game wouldn't have much to do with it. Still, I didn't really expect... well, I don't know what I expected, honestly. I thought the first few chapters were cool, because I thought it was immersive (which I value in a game). But as I kept playing, the story (or the lack of one) didn't interest me at all, quests became nothing more than "go here, fetch/activate this, come back", and became so damn repetitive.
My question is for the people who finished Dead Island: should I keep going? Does the game get better? I'm at the sewer, running away from the city hall. Just wanted someone's opinion before I went on or stopped.
Edit: Okay, so the consensus seems to be, "it's fun with co-op". Doesn't it rob the immersive factor away, though? I like the stark aesthetic of the game as much as I love bashing zombies' heads in. Or is the fun factor enough to compensate?
