Hey guys,

What was the first game you ever played? Or remember playing?

Did you ever actually finish it? And how old were you?

For me, it was Sonic The Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive. I was about 3 or 4, and to this day I still haven't completed it, but in my defence I'm only 15, so just a little bit less time than most. ;)

I am working on completing it, but I can never seem to get past the Labyrinth Zone.

Some more factual information, I have owned Sonic 1 on the Mega Drive, Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, PC, iPod Nano and multiple Mobile Phones.

Anyway, what about you guys?

CAPTCHA: Too late. Yeah, it probably is.

EDIT: It appears MANY people's first games either never ended or just had a kill screen, so if your first game didn't have an ending, what was the first game you ever completed?

My first game was Banjo Kazooie and have beaten it about four or five times now. I was 4 when I played it and got it along with Pokemon stadium for Pokemon N64.

Bloody hell that's a hard one....
I'm not very old, but I've been playing since I was very young. I'd guess probably captain comic or commander keen. I am really not sure, although I think it was captain comic.
And no, never finished. Got maybe 2 levels through :p

Super Mario World, I believe. Pretty sure I finished it, too. Had a lot of free time as a kid.

Oldest game I remember playing was Wings of Fury, and no, I never finished it. I recently DID finish Wolfenstein 3D, which I had never managed to do as a kid, so that felt good.

The first game I remember playing was KKnD (Krush, Kill 'n' Destroy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KKnD_series ) at a friend's house. Not exactly the sort of title you expect a couple of six/seven year old girls to be playing :p

We never finished it.

Really not sure...

Think the game I first genuinely recall playing is Caesar III... it was OK at first but got bored of it really quick, so no, didn't finish it...

First game I played was Pokemon Red on the Game Boy Colour and I've finished that so many times. It was never enough to know you'd beaten it, with all 150 Pokemon - I always found myself going back to play it all over again.

Super Mario Bros on my dad's NES.

*sigh*

Nope. Never finished it, even to this day.
Same game, but I finished it. I've finished it more times than I can count.

I think the first game I ever played and didn't finish was Shadowgate for the NES. That game sucked.

Diddy Kong Racing for N64. Still haven't beaten it yet. Those silver coin challenges were just too hard. But years later, I've manged to complete the challenges and complete the adventure mode. That is until I've found out that there's four more tracks, each with new silver coin challenges. Still haven't beaten them yet.

Not sure what my first game ever was but my first home computer game was Batman on the C64 and no I never finished it I was so young I couldnt even figure out what to do for ages.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the first game I ever tried was Donkey Kong or Pac Man and no never finished either although they dont really lend themselves to playing to finish like modern games its all about the scores which I was to young to care about.

My dad told me my first game was Duck Hunt for the NES, and I don't think that game has an end. I haven't played that game sense really and I barely remember it.

So, I'll just go with the game that got me into gaming: Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. I've never beaten it as a kid, but I have downloaded it from the PSN last year and beaten it wIthin a day. Never gotten around to completing it though.
