MGS4 has trophies?
Well I haven't got any on PS3 yet, but on Xbox I had every pre-DLC Achievment for Halo Reach and Skyrim.

I don't really like trophy hunting, but my first platinum on my PS3 was for Demon's Souls. It was a deliberate show of respect for and enjoyment of the game.
Before that, I think I got all of the achievements for Velvet Assassin on a friend's 360 he was letting me borrow as payment for pet sitting. It wasn't very difficult. Interesting game, definitely had potential as well as a lot of missed opportunities.

I don't have the time to do it for the most part. The only game I've ever got all achievements for was Bayonetta.
Haven't got around to doing any others. But they are there when I run out of stuff to play. I've done an awful lot of the 'hard' achievements/trophies on some games but never got around to doing the tedious ones.

My first Platinum was God of War 3. Second went to Assassin's Creed 2.

I'm still yet to get one. I'm close on Mass Effect 2 and Assassin's Creed 2...but ngh.
Ooh and I'm reeeaaal close on Bayonetta, too.

Basically ME2. The one for comboing biotics is still the only one I don't have yet. I don't care for biotics enough to go back and try for it.
Anyone who says they got all the achievements in Bayonetta is a liar. Screw all those harder than hard modes they're borderline impossible.
Almost Magic 2012 as well. I count it as practically 100%'d since I only have the Archenemy achievements left to get. Let's face it, even when there was a lot of people playing that game online nobody liked AE mode.

Left 4 Dead on the Xbox. All 50 achievements, excluding the DLC. I was (and still am) so proud of myself.
Only game I've ever platinum'd was inFamous 2, and I only did that one because I got all the trophies in the process of just playing the game as a normally would. I didn't have to go out of my way for any of them.
Skyrim Platinum trophy is the first and only Platinum I have.
Others I got close to are Infamous - 98% with TWO FUCKING BLAST SHARDS REMAINING and Assassin's Creed 2 at 87% (those bastard feathers).

I have come close in many games but for a few different reasons I haven't gotten any
1. DLC takes it away from me
2. Online achievements I am sorry I am not going to pay 60 dollars just to get a few achievements.
3. There is just one Achievement which would require me to go online and find out how to get it. I don't like getting hints online for games.

Only ever got Platinum in one because I generally dislike achievements. It was Uncharted 2 and I noticed I'd gotten all but a handful after playing through three times already so I figured why not get it. As I suspected, I felt no greater sense of accomplishment when I finished than I had before when I'd already beaten the game on the hardest difficulty and played Multiplayer extensively.
Skyrim, actually. It probably helps that there aren't any trophies for the harder difficulty settings, so it was really just a matter of playing for long enough. That's the only game I've got platinum for, though. Other than that, I'm one trophy away from getting platinum on Dead Space 1, which is the one for beating the game on Impossible. It's not like I haven't tried to beat Dead Space on Impossible, I just got to a bit in chapter 9 where I knew I was going to be swarmed by a horde of Twitchers, Leapers, and Exploders and lost my nerve, so that 91% in my trophies collection has been mocking me ever since.
