N64 is way more likely if you are going by what year it would have been alone.

On my Uncle's brand new Mega Drive on his massive TV. I could do Green Hill Zone first time, but my tiny mind couldn't coordinate well enough to defeat Marble Zone. Second game ever was Micro Machines, multiplayer against my sister, ah good times.
