My first online game was diablo 2 . I played ot for 3 years . It was that good . I got completly addicted to it . Made dozens upon dozens of characters . Regular and hardcore , so many different builds so so fun. Iplayed diablo 3 for a month , that's how much i didn't like it .
My first real online game was Star Wars Galaxies, which I played from not long after it came out and until the CU hit, which killed the game, at least for me. Pre-CU though, it was awesome, being a true sandbox MMO, unlike the theme park variety that a lot of MMOs are today. Changing your profession "on-the-fly" and not being bogged down, once you made your choice was fantastic, even if I stuck with being a Tera Kasi Bounty Hunter for most of my playing time.
My first non-MMO online game was Battlefield 1942, which was not that long after I had quit SWG. My brother and me bought the game, began playing online and was completely hooked, both of us being in clans and doing clan wars and all that, until BF2 came and a lot of players migrated to that game instead. It was amazing while it lasted though, it still being some of the most fun I've ever had in an online FPS.

I would have to say Starcraft, the orginal and Broodwar. Fun times those were, still are when I pop that disc in and go online people still play it all this time later.
I loved that game, I was a Mech player (It's been so long, pretty sure that's what they were called) jet packs, base building, the works. Was awesome.Zhukov said:

My first online game that I kept coming back to was Call of Duty 4. In fact, I remember the first weapon I used (the trusty MP5) and my first K/D (10/14. Not bad for an FNG, huh?) I always had a blast playing that game online, even if I got my butt handed to me some of the time.
Runescape was my first online game as well, back in the summer of '06.NickBrahz said:

As an added bonus, I can still log on to my account if I ever wanted to. I do believe I did so a few weeks back out of curiosity and boredom. I can't say I like the current direction of the game and its updates, but I shall always have the glorious memories of being a bronzesmith and peddling my wares to the Varrock general store.

I log in maybe once or twice a year to play it for a few weeks, it will always hold that bit of nostalgia that keeps on bring me back, i remember my first day still, i spent 4 hours looking for a general store and ended up in a pub in Port Sarim.C F said:

It was the first Diablo and I played it with my dad and my uncle when he could get a chance to play with me, and both wasn't all that often. I didn't play online much because I was too busy playing the single player, so in the regard nothing has changed.
