Buying a 360 was kind of a surprise for me, it wasn't something I had planned on so I hadn't really been looking at what games were out. I bought my 360 basically on impulse while I was standing in an EB Games on the Gears of War "emergence" day, so I got Gears (one of the few games I'd heard about), Dead Rising (another game I'd been hearing a lot about), and Sonic the Hedgehog (my wife is a big Sonic fan and seeing that there was a Sonic game out was what prompted her to consider buying a new console in the first place... too bad it was utter shit).
When we picked up our Wii preorder about a week later we got Wii Sports (obviously), Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, and Rayman Raving Rabbids.
When we bought our PS3 we'd put in a preorder for Silent Hill: Homecoming which was banned in Australia at the time, and also picked up Uncharted 2 and Resistance: Fall of Man. Uncharted is the only one of those games I've played all the way through, my wife finished Silent Hill once, and I think I'm about Halfway through Resistance. Since that time the only other game we've bought for the PS3 is Little Big Planet, which I got sick of after about an hour.
