First Variants of Halo: Reach Armor Revealed

Bungie sure knows how to send the internet into a frenzy, because Halo fans everywhere went crazy over the reveal of the first armor sets for Halo: Reach. And guess what? There's a whole lot more for you to unlock as you progress in the multiplayer, so this is only the tip of the iceberg!

Additionally, this isn't the same ol' Halo 3 customization... Reach will let players sport a variety of different wrist armors, knee guards, visor colors, and even different voices for use in the Firefight mode. There will also be different armor effects to unlock as well, but no word on exactly what that implies. Maybe the flaming skull helmet has something to do with it?

Check the pic above and start accessorizing your Spartan now so that when September comes you can just jump straight into battle.

I want to play as a christmas skull. Or an ai, but not cortana. I want to be the one from one of the comics you get with the limited edition one. He is a hologram in the shape of george washington! Just think of a glowing blue Geroge Washington with an energy sword.

Really? I didn't go 'crazy over the reveal' -- in fact, I frankly couldn't care less about what my armor looks like: it's a first-person game, remember, so 80% of the time you see nothing but your glove and your wrist.

... wasn't this the third-person over-shoulder game?

You should probably clear up a few things in your OP to avoid confusion.
1.) All the Characters in the pictures represents voices you can have in firefight. Basically just changes the one-liners and the character who says them. You will still play as a Spartan

2.)The things with Hearts and Confetti are death effects appear around your character when they die.

These look good and nicely varied. However remember who I am and what my preferred model of biped is in Halo, it's the Elites. Even though I can only play as an Elite in specific game variants, the Officer armor looks awesome and I can't wait to end up replaying those over and over again.

That said, Spartan armor still looks pretty good. It's also kinda neat that you get to choose your voice and all that.

Still, I wish they had given the Elites a little more attention as well, but at least they are present (although you won't see them in that chart, you CAN still play as an Elite)
