So my fellow escapist citizens let's find out how fit are you?
Do you play sports regularly if so what are they? Do you go to the gym a lot if so what are your lifts like? Are you a massive cardio guy or gal if so long distance or short?
Would you like to get into the gym but just need some advise or motivation got you covered any questions people have I(and I'm sure other helpful members of the escapist will lend a hand)will try are best to answer, fitness myths can be dispelled here so ask away. :)
P.S. Sorry if this should be placed in another board wasn't sure where to post this.

I'll play football a lot, but I've never been to a gym. I'm not the really that healthy, but I guess going to a gym would be good, I'd never say no to any exercise, I like it. Maybe I should join a gym...

I play hockey and (American) football. Mostly just pick up games, though I go through some heavy hockey training once the season starts. training in full pads and gear, training in full goalie gear (I'm only a center/RW), adding an extra fifteen pounds to each wrist and ankles.

yhea, I'd say Im in some good shape.

I practise Muay Thai and kenjutsu (also, I take informal Wing Chun classes) whenever I get the chance. However, my fucked spine and dodgy diaphragm mean I can't breathe properly and my stamina is utter shit. I can last roughly ten minutes of high intensity sparring before I need to take a forty-five minute break... it's fucking embarrassing.

I can run, but I'm pretty limited in what else I can do now that I have a partially torn ACL that I can't have surgery on because I can't spare the recovery time for the forseeable future. I still surf on occasion, even though its risky (it's mostly pivoting and side-to-side motions that can cause me big problems). I suppose it's a drowning hazard, but oh well. Nothing is more relaxing to me than waking up at 6AM and catching some early waves.
