As title suggests. I've been playing EU 3 for about a month now (got it on Steam's Summer sale, and hadn't had time to play). And looking to expand with mod(s).

I know Magna Mundi is the most popular. But one thing deters me, and that is it penalizes you for expanding/having a big empire. I kind of like being able to expand my influence and have...well...a large empire. On the plus, its very realistic and makes it really hardcore. Just not sure if its for me or not, and its a rather large download to find out (already near my bandwidth limit heh)

However, looks to be a lot of other mods...so either that one...or what mods do you guys like for EU? MEIOOO is recommended by a friend of mine, but I can't seem to find anything about it. Not sure if he got the initials wrong or what...

Anyway, thanks for any suggestions :)

Witty Name Here said:
I don't mod my EU 3 (mostly 'cause I have a mac) but I here Steppewolf is pretty cool. It's like an alternate history, with several barbaric nations and the timeline apparently dialed back a bit.
Wow, a look at that mod and that looks really good. Thanks for that recommendation :)

I haven't tried playing EU3 with mods since before the 'In Nomine' expansion. So I couldn't tell you. My roommate played with the MM mod for a while, but he went back to the normal setting as well.

MEIOU is probably my favourite, I've given a lot of the mods a try. MEIOU expands the timeline to 500 years and makes the game a lot more challenging and historically accurate.

I haven't played Steppe Wolf in a while, but last time I played it, it was so incredibly buggy, and felt so incomplete.
