Hello fine citizens of The Escapist. A great trial is at hand, known as March Mayhem.
I ask that we stand together to over come this trial for glory, honor, and meat! Our great opponent, the wretched Blizzard, will be a strong one, and not one easily beaten. But I say that if we stand together, against all odds we might have a shot at beating them!

Alright, alright. this is a support thread for team meat being at least a finalist for March Mayhem. I have a feeling that due to the overwhelming support of blizzard fans, team meat will be knocked out in round one, however, I would just like to explain my stance on why team meat might be the better developer.

1. Team Meat is not a sell out. this is more a stab at the Activision part of blizzard who will sell a consumer anything they're willing to buy with the promise that it will be as good as what they sell it for, and Activision will go to any low to produce any profit. Patches, game development on Diablo 3 and the such, improvements, are all put aside when it comes to generating a higher income by selling people things which improve their lives none. You dont see team meat coming out with a new map pack every few days, or a re-skin and selling it for 10 bucks for 10 levels. To be honest, making a new level probably could be accomplished in a day or two, and they could churn out map packs weekly if they really wanted to. While that would be economically intelligent, it destroys the integrity of the game. And they are providing us with new content (level editor for example), but for free. We've paid for the content, and now they are giving it to us whole heartedly.

2. Team meat has produced a high quality game, and provided it at a reasonable cost. This is not to say that blizzard hasn't. Starcraft II is one of the best games I have ever played. But SC2 in total is going to cost somewhere up to $150. When looking at the amount of entertainment vs. cost, I'd say Super Meat Boy will provide just as much entertainment, at a tenth of the cost. perhaps it's not as good as SC2, but looking at the budget, the timing, and for how accessible the game is, it is far superior to SC2 and far greater developed in comparison. Two men vs. an entire dev team, and yet meat boy still looks like an equal, with the same amount of polish.

I could continue my rant, but im sure you've had an earful as is. Go meat!
