If you have someone special who you believe you will never end up with, this is the thread for you. For people who are luckier than us, feel free to give some emotional support or a hug or maybe a cookie.

1. The name of the person you want to be with.
2. Why you think it will never happen.
3. How long you've been waiting and hoping.

So I'll start.

1. Abby.
2. She's too good for me. Not in a "I'm a bad person and she would never want me" way, but in a "both that and the fact that she's one of smartest and most attractive people I've ever known and I'm a bit of a failure" way.
3. Three years.

And remember kids, hope only leads to disappointment!

Abby, neh...?

1. Still waiting for someone to show up.
2. I'm rather boring, methinks.
3. How many years have I been waiting, I wonder?

1. Jon Hamm
2. He's not gay, and neither am I for that matter, but he's real hot and I totally would. He also has no idea who I am.
3. Three years.

Get 'em while their young, that's my philosophy. I've been with my fiance since we were both 15 (we're 22 now). Back when she was more foolish, but that one mistake cost her! Mwahahahahahah!

[sub]There's probably something to do with love in there, but my version makes a better movie...[/sub]

I don't understand the "waiting and hoping" part. Don't you want closure? Even if you get rejected, as long as you don't act like an ass afterwards you can always salvage whatever you had in the first place(2 of my best friends are failed conquests).

If I had the ability to go up to Jon Hamm and ask him if he wanted to fuck I totally would, but that's just not possible.

But I am a pussy and a coward. And would change that if I could, which I can, but I'm too much of a pussy and a coward to do it.

1. Ashley.
2. She lives 300 miles away, and I'd only be able to see her once, maybe twice a year after next year. I have absolutely no idea how my parents would respond to my desire for a long-distance relationship, even though we both really like each other and want to be together.
3. Not that long, just over two months, since we met at camp in the last week of July.

Errrrrrrrrr, isn't this just a little bit weird and stalkerish? It sounds like you're lurking in the bushes just watching and fantasising over one day she may notice you and welcome in and for some strange reason fall madly in love with you. I'm just waiting to get my Ghillie suit before I start sneaking around peoples gardens.

It does, but mine is more of a friend zone situation.

1) A buddy of mine whose name I'm hesitant to share

2) He already has a girlfriend who is a super-lovely awesome person. I have no chance of competing because she's damn well perfect. XD So I just try to be happy for them, 'cos they seem really satisfied with one another.

3) Two years. @_@ Desperately trying to sever my romantic feelings away for about five months...

Oh well, someday someone will pick me. I can keep hoping. XP

Agreed. Nothing good can come out of this thread. If you've known them for 3 years and nothing has happened yet, maybe pining isn't the answer.
If you want them to be interested in you, the best solution is to be interesting. Take up a new hobby, go out more, meet new people. Maybe hit the gym if thats a problem, maybe set yourself some decent goals. That will probably have more effect than any time spent complaining on a webforum.

Bit of a downer topic. S'ok though.

1) Whatever the girl of my dreams' name turns out to be.

2) Have not been made aware of her existence yet.

3) Puberty.

I did wait for 3ish years for someone before though, so I do understand the feeling. Emotional support is not my thing and hugging people I don't know is really not my thing so here's an internet cookie. *gives internet cookie to everyone*.

I did get (another) chance with her, it did fall apart (again) and it very much did suck (again). So I don't think I'll be letting myself be hung up on some girl again.

Kelsey.

I'm awkward around most girls and people I don't know. As far as I can tell, I'm ugly. I'm neurotic and terrible at sports.

A year and a half. And now I feel pathetic.

1) Uncomfortable sharing her name.
2) She uses the friend argument, meaning she thinks we are too good of friends.
3) Liked her since the fourth grade, we're now freshman in college.
