I just had a theory on how we could force evoloution onto peopple that I though was actualy rather good.

It came to me as I was watching a programme about a man who trained in the cold to help him indure it better. I thought that if you got a group of people and put them and their offspring through the same training for generations they would eventually develop a natural resstance to the cold, which would be usefull for colonosation of other planets ( they would be rather cold places)

It wouldn't work well. I'm too lazy to explain it, but I'll just leave it as [HEADING=3]THE PEOPLE MIGHT DIE[/HEADING]

Evolution takes so long that it would be pointless to force it on that level, it would be so much faster just to change fetuses genetics.

We should graft penises onto thier arms to make a race of penis-arm people.

YES ITS TOTALLY NECCESSARY!

ah, artificial selection.

i always hated it. the idea is good on principle, but it fails to take various human rights into account.

especially when you take it to the level my brother briefly thought of doing... that's the first time he really worried me.

That's not how evolution works.
Just because you trained someone and their kids to endure the cold, doesn't mean that they'd have more resistant children.
You'd have to only let the people with attributes naturally more resistant to the cold breed.

Just use a fire stone on them, then they'll warm the other planets up with their mere presence.

Hahaha oh dear basically all completely pointless. Its technology we use it to do things greater than are genes !

They could clone the original Cold-resitant guy and then breed them like that, using only artificialy embryos, but do it in secret as not to incur the wrath of the human rights people who would rather create a super powerful race of penis armed people. Those kooky human rights activists, what will they do (or stop people doing) next!

Oh please don't keep cloning from the same source or even clones of clones it shortened there life span and leads horrible complications.

Maybe you should read more into how evolution works.
I know how evoloution works natural selection, millions of years and all that none-hilarious consequence making crap. But it would be a good idea for some astronauts to be more resitant to the cold, possibly through stem cell research and what-not.

What if the planets were too hot? Where's your precious Science now?
