So imagine an angry midget hit you in the head with a whiffleball bat. After chucking him off a cliff in annoyance, you realize you completely forgot about a movie you saw, and you can now watch it again to experience it like you're seeing it for the first time.

So which movie will you forget?

The Shining, although half its effect for me as a phenomenal horror film is knowing a lot of the background behind it and little details that took me repeated viewings and reading an analysis to spot.

Inb4 someone mentions the Star Wars prequel trilogy, only neglecting to watch them again once they've been blessed with the amnesia.

Sixth Sense. I had it spoiled for me when I was eight by some guy on a talk show who said "If you haven't seen it by now, you're probably not going to."

WRONG, MR. RANDOM ACTOR.

Either Spirited Away or The Lion King. I was blown away by those two films.

Casey and Andy have discovered one problem with this idea:

...

Actually, I'd erase the Star Wars movies, then watch the prequels first, so I didn't feel like my childhood was being attacked.

Cna i choose a TV series?
Id love to reexperience X-files all over again. that was a sweet trip. Or Heroes for that matter.
If i have to pick a movie, ill do the ironic one here. Memento, movie about a guy that has 0 short term memory and forgets everything every couple minutes.

Oh, good idea. I had it spoiled too, so I'd like to rewatch it unspoiled.

The Last Samurai.
This is my favorite movie of all time and I would kill to experience it anew again. These visuals, that story, those battles. COME HERE YOU ANGRY MIDGET!

I'd have to say Cloud Atlas. I can't remember the last time I had a better cinema experience.

Probably Inception. While It's still good on subsequent viewings, none of them stack up to the first one.

There's one movie I've seen where, once you've seen it, you absolutely can't watch it again. And that is Brokedown Palace. While you don't see the ending coming, when you look back at the characters, it makes perfect sense. And it's the big reveal at the end that makes it so powerful. Knowing the ending makes it hard to watch again.

My first thought as well. But then I started thinking about it. I've seen it five times now, and every time I've seen new details and parallels and great little tricks used to reinforce the story's themes, to the point that I think each subsequent viewing has actually been an improvement over the first (where I was sort of stumbling to keep up with the movie).

The first time watching it is fantastic, basically, but I swear it gets better the more times you watch it. So I'm not really sure I'd want to lose my memories of it.

Anyway, off to listen to the soundtrack again.

Eh, I can't think of any movies but...

I can say a show, either Death Note or Attack on Titan, both of those shows are just incredible to me and I'd love to watch them all over again.

I'd say Coriolanus(2011).

I know it's based on one of the less popular Shakespeare plays, but after sitting through 3 remakes of Romeo and Juliet and 2 of Macbeth in high school, it was goddamn Coriolanus that gave me that "Shakespeare moment" where all I could do was admire the wordplay with jaw agape.

I never actually read any of the plays, but what the hell are these, the dark ages?

Low content.

Now, if I was to just say that, I'd get modded. If I clarified it by saying "That's what they call it when you get a warning for your content being too low", that'd be fine.

To avoid getting a warning, you could have pointed out that the three words in the title begin with letters than are consecutive in reverse alphabetical order, or that the number of syllables in each word is the same as the position of the word in the title.

That would have given your post more content, and thus you'd have been ok.

You got a low content post warning. That's what happens when you reply to a thread without adding anything to the discussion. Quoting someone and saying "This" and nothing more is a classic example, but it also goes for a lot of this kind of threads where you only say the name of a movie or a game and then leave it at that. Other examples include answering with an image, link or Youtube clip.

OT: Fightclub. I loved the movie, but it kinda needs its twist to be interesting. When you watch it while knowing what the end is then I imagine it wouldn't feel as great. I guess I should watch it a second time just to experience it when I know it though.

I'm answering this on the thread instead of in a PM in hopes that more people will see it, & understand the issue.
You received a warning because your reply to the post was only three words, & therefore did/does not have significant discussion value. Instead of just replying with the name of the movie (book, soft drink, shoe, whatever the topic of the thread you reply to is) explain *why* it is you would pick said movie/book/drink.
For example if you had said, "The Shawshank Redemption, because it made me look at characters in those circumstances in a whole new light. Besides any film that has Morgan Freeman's voice in it that much is an amazing first-time experience.", you would not have received a warning.
This may seem silly, but it is part of what keeps this site from being clogged up with replies like "lol" or "hodor" or "Me too" or other things that don't add to the discussion but take up space in the threads.
