While I may not share his zeal, AntiThom has a point. In Canada, you have to jump through plenty of hoops to get fire-arms (WAY less then the States), and we still have plenty of gun crime. Heck, a few years ago was dubbed 'Year of the Gun'.

If anything, laws should be tougher on gun-toting criminals.
