Forza Horizen First Impressions

So, did some shopping after a big meal and a few fun drinks that probably had an impact on my decision to buy games I really do not need!!! But dang it has been fun!

I got Forza Horizen 3, which can be played on both xbox one and PC.

Haven't tried it on XB1 yet (boy won't surrender the TV. Dang it. Watching football). But I tried it on my 2600K HD7970 and the thing said my PC sucks!!! REALLY!
It allowed me to play on medium graphics settings.
1. Fraps did not work. I do not know what I was getting for frame rates.
2. MAN IT IS FREAKING PRETTY!!!

Seriously: if you want to see some pretty graphics, get this thing! WOW! Very pretty! Like no car racing game I've had before and I have Dirt 3 and Need for Speed and more. Nothing compares to this. The game play? Basically Forza. I'm not seeing much game change since Forza 1 for the original xbox. Even so, this game is jaw dropping. I can't wait to play some more.

Hey Gorf, I responded to your last reply in the Tech forums, glad to see you took the dive and are having fun with it. I been playing since official launch, and it was pretty messy back then, seems to have sorted itself out for the most part now though. Only main issues are very occasional stuttering during city races, and the customization/upgrade menus are chugging like hell.

Here's my setup (which Forza didn't say sucks, but I had a RAM stick die on me so I'm back down to 8GB)
i5 2400 not-OC
8GB DDR3 1333
GTX 970
7200RPM HDD

Game is easily the best looking racer I've ever played. I've got it locked at 60fps because that's the best my TV can do, and anything lower makes the steering insanely laggy (using a G27 wheel). Most things on medium, 1080p. Fairly stable FPS, dips at most to 45-50 which I can handle. Game is fantastic, just hope the wheels get implemented properly because I can't use handbrake right now, or my separate TH8A shifter which I do on every other racing game (DiRT, PCARS, Assetto, Dirt3, ETS/ATS, etc.)
