While watching the fox news video about how eco-friendly games are bad, I saw this video:

http://video.foxnews.com/v/1151791048001/disarming-the-toy-gun-menace/?playlist_id=87485

At 1st I thought it was going to go on about how toy guns lead to violence, but no to my shock it says that taking toy guns from kids won?t help stop crime. What I dont get is 2 things:
1. Since when does fox make any sense (referring to that toy guns don't increase crime)?
2. Why rage about violent video games while saying toy guns are harmless fun?

@King of the Sandbox

I?m saying that it makes no sense to attack video games for creating violence, but only to go and say toy guns don't. I?m not saying that either cause violence, but you can?t say one form of entertainment cause violence but another doesn?t.

Oh, no, I got that. I was just saying how I ignore Fox News stories now, as they're mostly WTF-style anyurism-inducing levels of stupid.

Oh? Fox is still on air and "reporting news"? huh. Didnae notice. Honestly I don't pay attention to news anymore. Including gaming news. And IF I happen to be watching/reading the news it is usually to find something to laugh at because the internet is failing me

So according to Fox, violent videogames are responsible for children growing up to be criminals or sociopaths (although, as we've seen lately they tend to attack videogames in general), but physical toy guns have no influence whatsoever?

Yeah, they may not be completely full of crap on that last point, but I'm trying to figure out where they've drawn that line.

As a conservative, I try to like Fox News, I really do. They're good for the elections and Hannity is the greatest thing to happen to the Republican Party since Reagan and Bush the 1st...

But when it comes to games...
Grr...

I have to bite my tongue and bang my head against a wall until I make a couple decent-sized craters.

Wait... why did they talk about Sim City when Flower was shown? FALSE INFORMATION! It was a ploy! A ploy to get the unknowing public to think there was more to SC:S than simple building stuff! The fiends!

Fox and for that matter every news network in America, is owned by companies.

So it's not really public news.

Now that that's outof the way.

THERE IS NO MIDDLE FINGER BIG ENOUGH!

He says how bad it is how everything fun is being taken away from children, and told that they are evil. Says the TV company who also believes the Mass Effect is a porn simulator, and that eco-games are evil.

I will rehash my earlier statement:

THERE IS NO MIDDLE FINGER BIG ENOUGH!

Fox News is really just there to act like Republicans are victims and to put the conservative agenda. And they're insidious as fuck. They try to aim their propaganda to the common man, convincing him that the Republicans are watching out for him. Whereas in reality they couldn't give a fuck about him as long as their wallets remain full.
