More free stuff? EA truly is in PR crisis mode (though a Bioware Mod insisted it was planned to be free all along).

I have to admit: Batarians, Geth, Krogan Vanguard... looks like the rumors were true and I have to admit... I am fucking excited. This shit goes live on April 10th.

I'm so glad this trailer went out. After that leak last month about ALL THIS EXACT INFORMATION people were still trying to get a petition started to have the Bioware offices covered in human excrement because no one would believe EA would release a free anything. Looks like optimism pays off.

On Topic: Well, it looks really interesting. Maybe I'll pick ME3 up afterall when they add some redeemable features to Origin.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. They can make more money in the long run by releasing free content for two reasons:

1. Will retain players for longer so they spend more money on micro-transactions to unlock the new content (which is optional way of unlocking the content of course, but people like to throw money around)
2. You technically are paying for everything multiplayer entails by buying new/buying the online pass

Assuming it stays as innocent as that I can get behind this model.

According to a BSN mod the guns are MP only. I believe all of the new characters are considered rare.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd there-in lies the HUGE question. Yes, it is indeed free....but are you gonna have to lotto-search and PRAY you get these new characters and classes? If they charged you for'em, they would have much more incentive to just hand them over upon downloading. But since it's free, I'm wondering if they'll just shuffle them into the pack mix and say "Good luck, fuckers."
