Cities: Skylines will be free at Epic Games Store until March 17th at 5PM (your local time). As always, you can get the game through the link above, or straight from the Epic Games launcher. Either way, the game will be added directly to your Epic Games library. Keep in mind having 2FA active on your account is mandatory to nab giveaways on the Epic Games Store.

Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience. From the makers of the Cities in Motion franchise, the game boasts a fully realized transport system. It also includes the ability to mod the game to suit your play style as a fine counterbalance to the layered and challenging simulation. You’re only limited by your imagination, so take control and reach for the sky!

Definitely advise getting this one if anyone is into city planning and layout design. It's a bit more technical than Sim City, with things like having to set up utility corridors and actually design bus routes so it isn't for everyone but there is a lot of depth here for people who are into that.

If you play the game and you feel something is missing then rejoice - the modding community is fantastic with support for a pile of different stuff.
