This is actually kind of a bundle that combines the original Deponia, Chaos on Deponia and Goodbye Deponia in one package. Haven't played any of it, but it's an old-school point & click adventure game in the style of LucasArts. Seems to be well-regarded and (user) reviewed quite positively.

He's not unlikable. He's basically German Guybrush Threepwood, lots of bad qualities but still a fun character.
