Rebel Galaxy will be free at Epic Games Store until August 19th at 5PM (your local time). As always, you can get the game through the link above, or straight from the Epic Games launcher. Rebel Galaxy is a game of action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe. You’ll battle pirates, explore anomalies, befriend aliens, scavenge battle wreckage, mine asteroids, and discover artifacts. Choose your path as a roguish do-gooder, crafty space-trader or power-hungry privateer in this swashbuckling space adventure.

It's a fun space game, although with a big caveat that the game is played on a 2D plane, it's more like figthing in a battleship than spaceship. But that honestly doesn't make that much difference, few space sim game really take advantages of the 3D movement.

It has more of a structure than something like the "X" franchise, you have a main quest with story/cutscene. It's not very good but its a nice change of pace from the usual space sim that all end up feeling like eurotruck simulator in space.
