When I first saw this I literally squeed. Yes a 33 year old man squeed with glee. The Gabriel Knight series of games are my favorite series of games. I still have all the discs to the originals and even the novelizations of the first two games.
In an interview about the remake she said as much. That she hopes that this will lead to either remakes of 2 and 3 or to have a new one entirely be made.Callate said:

You know, if they do remake all the games, I hope she is unafraid to change things, like some of the stupider puzzles. I remember hearing that Jane only included the motorcycle rental puzzle in GK3 because of some upper management ordering her to do something like that.
