Sure it's a remake and not a new entry of the series, but still, YAY!

Hooooly crap, that's awesome! I might actually be most excited about the updated soundtrack. Love dat music.

We'll see how the new voices go, though.

When I first saw this I literally squeed. Yes a 33 year old man squeed with glee. The Gabriel Knight series of games are my favorite series of games. I still have all the discs to the originals and even the novelizations of the first two games.

Good news- particularly in that the license is back in the hands of its original creator. Hopefully the remake is a feeler to see if there's still an audience for new games in the series.

In an interview about the remake she said as much. That she hopes that this will lead to either remakes of 2 and 3 or to have a new one entirely be made.

So hopefully it'll sell enough that this great series can finally continue.

You know, if they do remake all the games, I hope she is unafraid to change things, like some of the stupider puzzles. I remember hearing that Jane only included the motorcycle rental puzzle in GK3 because of some upper management ordering her to do something like that.

Great news! I'm really looking forward to this - and how brilliant would it be to get new games in the series? Not that I'd complain at them just doing remakes, I'm sure those will be fun as well.
