Okay, this was a very good episode. I loved the dialogue and its high speed nature, the music for the Dungeon Master Intro, and finally Bethany's plight with being a Cleric with "Erotic Dance Skills", plus the really amusing literal "Sigh".

Also, one very crazy fan idea: what if they, late into game development, decide to built a life-sized Female Collie Se... I mean, Mascot Bot to represent Cleopatra, Lucifer's love-interest and guide in game. KCD, angry at having a female robot replace HER, decides to download herself into the "Cleopatra Bot v.75.65" (there were a lot of glitches and add-ons).

KCD: (unleashing her built-in, Arm-Mounted Plasma Gun) "Say that again and you will feel the wrath of several thousand degrees of hot, searing plasma.
Mr. Yee: I love it! You're hired!

Ah, the power of the punch line XD Great work guys, you have defenitely found the tone for it. It was very good and very funny. Gary reminds me of the boss from "The IT Crowd"...I think it's just me >_>

Also, "definitely not furry". I am so using that in my normal life XD

I don't understand why everybody is up in arms about the "sigh" thing. It's really not that big a deal or that annoying; it seemed like something that a nerdy D&D-playing character would do.

Anyway, I think the main problem here is that the show just doesn't take any risks. It plays it very safe with a familiar formula and familiar characters. The nerdy guy archetype has been done into the ground, the gamer girl archetype has been done into the ground, the nerdy-but-not archetype has as well. There's nothing wrong with sticking to archetypes, but when you don't really add anything else to the characters, it just leaves them (and, consequently, the show) stale and boring. The voice acting is fine, but the writing needs some improvement.

But while I agree that the show needs to change things up a bit, I don't see what all this hostility is about, either. It certainly wasn't terrible, and unless I'm missing something (I haven't watched any of the other episodes) I don't see why everybody is so determined to point out every single flaw here. Then again, this is the internet.

I'm not interested enough to pay attention to names yet, but the boss is becoming a parody of himself, and it's not even season 6 yet. Also, give the other two some personality! And drop the bad sitcom-esque gender tropes. And for the love of monkeys, try and make the effort to animate their legs!

Honestly i find nothing funny about this show, why would they be playing dungeons and dogs? Its not like its called dungeons and humans irl so adding the dogs just seems like some cheap set up joke to go with the pointless "everyone's a dog" theme. Why dogs anyways, it seems just stupid to have a game developing team made out of dogs just for cheap set up jokes involving dogs.

What is with the catch phrase "Are you insane", is the show trying to be a purposely mediocre sitcom? Purposely mediocre is still mediocre!
I'm sure it's supposed to be an attempt at a cheesy joke as they refer to hands/feet as paws, themselves as dogs and whatever. I usually try not to say anything negative like this but this just isn't funny, I've tried to watch it and 6 eps in and I just don't dig it.

Why does she say sigh? Can't she just sigh normally.

The jokes were predictable and a bit overused. As someone said in another post that search for hidden door joke was done on Unforgotten Realms and it was funnier on that.

This actually reminded me of the first episode of Unforgotten Realms with the whole "I search for traps" thingy.
That would be because they're reusing all of its jokes due to lacking any of their own.
It's not a rip-off, it's an homage, or referencing, or a parody, or whatever bollocks Russ will give as an excuse.
Homage is when you change the joke enough to be funny and to make people go "Oh, wow, I remember that, it was so funny, nicely done" instead of "...seriously? come on, seriously?".

-20hp for "casting magic missile up gary's ass" and "I check for hidden doors". What next, "I wanna cast a spell"?

Seriously, if you want to stop people saying "This is shit, bring back UR", BRING BACK UR. Just because you paint your Metro the same colour as the Ferrari you used to own doesn't make the Metro any less shit.
...Gah. The UR guys stopped making videos, it wasn't Escapist's fault.
Actually, he wants to keep making the videos. He is even trying to sell UR DVDs to fund the rest of season 3, and optimistically season 4.
Too bad that even long-time fans (like myself) think that the last season was crappy as hell. At least since the HP episodes started.

Also am I the only one wondering why Gary and Chet are only wearing a tie and a scarf, yet everyone else is wearing clothes? Are they naked or something?
Im failing to see the problem. Could someone explain?
I see a problem. You've just compared Game Dogs to Looney Tunes and Disney cartoons.

If I hear someone literally pronouncing *sigh* one more time I'm probably gonna throw my keyboard through a window. Other than that, great episode! :p

Not seeing much promise in this series. Sigh.

I will stick with it for a while longer though, a WHILE.

Oh I have noticed that it doesn't have sole top billing on the front page here on Friday. That's a step in the right direction.

Go Doraleous!!

Was the "hidden walls" stuff supposed to be an unforgotten realms reference, or was it just a good, old-fashioned rip-off?

When it's copied directly, without altering anything... it's a rip-off.

that would never work in our campaign, if you do something simple like that, you act it out ;) well within reason lol
