Game For Life

Well, I was speaking with my girlfriend and her sister about how they were planning on taking part in Race For Life, and it came to me that there isn't really a male analogue.

For those who don't know, Race For Life is an event in which women get sponsored to run 6 miles, and all the money goes toward curing breast cancer.

This got me thinking, and I'm trying to drum up support for Game For Life, a male charity event with all proceeds going to Everyman, a prostate and testicular cancer charity.

Its only in infancy at the moment. Also, ignore the comment from Toby. He's a friend of mine who made a misjuged attempt at being funny. I won't lie, I thought of it first as a joke, but I'm pretty sure that I could get this off the ground, with a lot of input from the rest of the gaming community of course.

That sounds pretty interesting. Whenever I get unlazy enough to sign in to my Facebook account, I may have to add Game For Life. I was reading the description on the site and this part made me laugh:

...my girlfriend and her sister were talking about doing the Race For Life. After questioning why men couldn't run, they stated that it was because only women suffer from breast cancer.

You might want to let them know that men can get Breast Cancer as well. The percentage is small, at about 1-2% of Breast Cancer cases, but we can still get it.
