so today I decided on a whim to play Skyrim. It's been about 6 months since the last time I played, and since then I imagine some of the 100+ mods I'd installed have had time to update and conflict with each other.
so, I opted to continue a previous save which happened to be an auto save outside of my Whiterun home. Upon entering I was met by 3 male npc's with no shirts on, and Lydia in the buff (complete nude mod running). I stood there as the npc's all greeted me then awkwardly left the house. I didn't know what to do so I turned around and also left, I don't think I can ever go back to that house.
It was the first time that I'd ever considered that I wasn't the only one who had any agency in the game, and it made me feel like the nameless npc's may actually have lives of their own.
So escapist community, name me a time when some weird quirk improved your immersion in a game.
