Game Marathon suggestions

So in case you guys weren't aware, the site Mario Marathon [http://www.mariomarathon.com/] features a live video feed of a small group of guys playing Mario for days on end. They start out with a Mario game, and they continue to play as donation landmarks (they collect money for Child's Play) are reached. The idea was taken from a similar Legend of Zelda marathon.

Anyway, it's an amusing concept and I think this would be an amusing way to spend a long weekend or vacation. In the event that I ever grab some friends for a marathon (to get money for charity or simply to play a bunch of video games), what game series would be a good choice for a marathon of epic proportions?

The Rules:
-Create a list of games/spinoff that all include characters from one specific series of games (So if you picked MegaMan, Marvel vs. Capcom would be an option)
-No picking Mario or Zelda as your series.
-Think about how long these games take to play, and try to reach at least 50 hours of gameplay.
-We would not be playing online, so if you suggest a game with co-op, it must be played locally over one console (If it is a 360 game, we would have access to System Link)

and a lifetime of playing them.

i would play Deadspace for over 50 hours anyway to get teh damned trophies.

Fallout series?

50 hours will go in no time and you won't have to keep repeating yourself progression wise. Even just playing Fallout 3 you could rack up the 50 hours pretty easily.

Forget that, as mentioned above Get a Wii and Metroid Prime 1-3 (get the cube versions of 1-2 and a cube controller). That's your 50 hours, bags of exploration, awesome games and hard nough to make playing a challenge.

Imagine playing RE for days on end; its day 4, your sleep deprived, your nerves are fraid and its 4am in the morning, just you and the video camera in the dark then one of those things with the chainsaw arms bursts through a door. I would probably shit myself right there on camera!
